Ko te Hāhi Ringatū me Te Aho Matua ngā Pou matua o tō mātau kura. Ko te whakatinanatanga tēnei o ngā tōmina nui o ngā kuia me ngā koroua o Taiwhakaea i taua wā. Nō rātau te whakaaro kia whai huarahi mātauranga reo Māori ngā tamariki, mokopuna ka mutu ana i te Kōhanga Reo. He kaupapa hoki mō ngā whānau e ngākau nui ana ki te reo Māori, ki ngā tikanga, ki ngā kawa o Ngāti Awa.

This wānanga is about our graduate profile and vision for our kura as we move forward. We intentionally set this time because the majority of whānau are involved in kapa haka noho every weekend, either as kaihaka, cooks, kaitiaki, kaiako even past Te Toki because matatini musters are starting too. We are all super busy. Weekends are out, some are practising at nights too.
The following are questions for you to think about prior to the wānanga

What do you hope your/our tamariki will gain from their time here?
KURA GROUNDS AND ACCESS
Due to the build. All cars must park roadside. Please use the gate on the far side of the tennis courts. Do not use the gate near the small playground and fenced off part.
Wānanga will be in Wharekura at the far end of kura away from build. There is some small asbestos removal happening on the far side of building. ALL tamariki are to stay away from small playground and temporary buildings.
KAI
Please bring a plate of kai. Our equipment is limited as we have no kitchen. We have a microwave, jug and sinks.
